The Board
The State Personnel Board (SPB) is led by a five-member Board appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate for ten-year terms. Meeting bimonthly, the Board adopts classifications, personnel rules and policies and hears and resolves disciplinary and merit-related examinations and appointment appeals. The Board also resolves discrimination and whistleblower complaints and citizen and employee requests for disciplinary actions against state employees.
