Permissive Reinstatement and Transfers

Overview:

This two-day class teaches participants how to determine when a transfer or reinstatement is permissible. The focus of the training is on the legality of the appointment and NOT salary determination. (Training on salary determination is offered by the State Controller's Office.)

Objective:

This class provides participants with the knowledge needed to determine whether or not a potential transfer or permissive reinstatement meets the legal requirements of the Constitution and the Civil Service Act.

Intended Audience:

This class is designed for personnel staff who are responsible for making decisions on transfers and reinstatements.
